Carrier blocking SMS codes

Some carriers block automated text messages.

How our codes are sent:

In the US and Canada, codes come from toll-free numbers. In many other countries they appear from the sender name VerifyYou.

What to ask your carrier:

Ask them to remove any message blocking, spam filtering, or content filters on your line so you can receive automated or toll-free messages.

Common carriers:

T-Mobile

  • Check the message blocking and content filter settings in your account, or call your carrier

AT&T

  • Call 611 and ask them to check for message blocking or filtering on your line (for example, Secure Family or ActiveArmor settings)

Verizon

  • Check the spam and blocking settings in My Verizon

Prepaid carriers

  • Some prepaid plans block automated messages by default — ask your carrier whether they can be enabled

After your carrier confirms the block is removed:

Request a new verification code. If codes still don't arrive, contact support.
